Mack Killburn, reporter for the Washington Weekly News, arrives in the small West Virginia town of Clairton looking for the story of the century. Meanwhile, Rom, in the company of Brandy, Steve, and their family and friends, reiterates his warning that the Dire Wraiths, evil shape-changing aliens, walk among them. Then, like right out of a 1950's sci-fi horror movie, Clairton is attacked by a giant robot.
