Rom stands overlooking the countryside he contemplates his lost humanity and longs to return home. However, the threat posed by the Dire Wraiths demands his attention yet again. Also, Brandy Clark can't get Rom and his warning out of her head as she returns home to find visitors of another kind in her apartment. Meanwhile, disguised Dire Wraiths use one man's own xenophobia to twist his hate and fear of Rom to their own ends.
