One of Sgt. Rock's Commanding Officers is seriously injured while racing to the frontlines to help Easy Company. Rock has had a long standing respect for the C.O. and leaves Easy Company to transport him to a nearby field hospital. While there, Germans break through the lines and close in on the hospital. Sgt. Rock takes matters into his own hands, loads the C.O. in a jeep, and flees. He finds himself knee deep in German forces leaving his safety and that of his commanding officer in question.
