Roiya sends a holographic image of Sam to Ronolo and his renegade band of Saurians just as they were about to eat him. In their attempt to kill the hologram (thinking it is real), they kill each other. Only Ronolo escapes in a lifepod. After days drifting in space, he encounters an unknown species of alien.
