Captain Reptyl imprisoned Silver Surfer and Nova on his ship. He captured them in a machine, which drains their energy. The energy in turn powers his ships. The machines make them feel sick to their stomachs.A plant aboard the ship sends a message to Cotati, who agree that the Surfer is an ally and agree to help him. Contemplator realizes they are mentally controlling one of the pirates and tries to warn Reptyl. He wakes Reptyl but it is too late and the pirate has released Frankie Raye. She attacks the ships. In an attempt to lose her they dump the Silver Surfer and escape. The Contemplator is worried and asks if there is anywhere he can be hidden. Repytl responds by bitting his throat and starts to eat him.
