Synopsis
A collection of comics and stories, including -- "The Beetle and the Tongs" , featuring the Ray : To help out during a case involving feuds between rival clans in Chinatown, the Ray stakes out the "Bloody Angle", infamous site of the worst battles of the Tong Wars, where an old man named Tom Lum. It turns out Mr. Lum is carrying important documents from a weapons supplier. Meanwhile, Bud gets kidnapped by a gunman at Terrill's apartment. -- "The Hundred Grand Hobo" , featuring the Jester : Detective Mulligan pursues a killer who's stolen $100,000 from the downtown bank. The killer, Limpy, gets away thru a disguised doorway in an old cellar, then disguises himself as an old hobo. Limpy may have lost the cops, but hiding around the corner is the Jester, and now he's on the case! -- "Doc Wackey" , featuring Midnight : At the Big City National Bank, half-crazed old Doc Wackey applies for a payment of $100,000, in return for the restoration of the youth of the banker, Mr. Mills. Mills laughs uproariously, and while he does so, Doc pulls out a pea-shooter and shoots a capsule into Mills's open pie hole. Suddenly Mills is younger, then smaller, then in under a minute, he stabilizes at the size and age of an infant. Wackey soon departs with a jaunty demeanor and a sack full of cash! PLUS : The Invisible Hood, Wings Wendall, Black X, Chic Carter, and more!!
