Spawn encounters Houdini, an agent of a mysterious confederation of magic called Overlap. He teaches Spawn how to use his uniform more effectively, which comes in handy immediately when they are attacked by a street gang. After the threat is dispatched, Houdini enlists Spawn in a demon-destroying mission. #19 was released after #21-24, due to publication of Spawn/Batman crossover.
