In 1990, while working at his comic shop "The Spider's Web" in Puyallup, WA, Todd McFarlane hosted a fundraiser for a local High School that had suffered damage from a fire
According to Comic Buyer's Guide #878, McFarlane signed 24,000 copies of Spider-Man #1 Green and Silver covers
