Kirk and the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise! In STAR TREK: THE MODALA IMPERATIVE, the Enterprise travels to the planet Modala to investigate its peaceful manner of planetary government. A closer look, however, reveals a world under a disturbing totalitarian rule. Moreover, the Modalan government has been provided with weaponry of off-world manufacture - but how, and by whom? Captain Kirk and Ensign Chekov take it upon themselves to investigate...and the answers they uncover are both ugly...and terrifying.
