This 1992 one-shot marked the start of a general expansion of the Malibu super-heroes line. The cornerstone of Malibu’s super-heroes at the time was a group known as the Protectors, a group of interesting, but largely dysfunctional super-heroes. The Ferret was among the worst of the bunch: a part-time rock singer whose super-powers consisted of the proportional speed and agility of a ferret, along with a fittingly, crazed attitude. In this one-shot, the Ferret takes on the Purple Dragons, a Chinese ninja/gangster organization that was responsible for the murder one of Ferret’s closest friends. In doing battle with them, he’s in for the fight of his life—as well as a huge surprise in the form of a legendary figure from out of the past, returning with murder on his mind!
