Synopsis

A sombre affair puts into question the power and honesty of the Inquisition. The Master Inquisitor Samaël is called to the North of Ardaigne to investigate a murder case, where a madman massacred all the occupants of a palace belonging to the powerful family of Tyr. But when he discovers that the assassin is the venerable and honest Master Inquisitor Fendraël, his former mentor, the investigation takes a darker turn. Samaël has no doubt that there is a mistake. Time is of the essence if he wants to clear his old friend's name and thus save the political future of the Inquisition.
