Chairface Chippendale decides that the only way to stop The Tick is with another Tick. He figures two Ticks will both be so eager to confront the villain that they will obstruct and hinder each other, producing a situation of complete chaos! If two Ticks lead to chaos... four Ticks operating on the same planet will lead to complete anarchy ? the perfect situation for super-villainous success! And Chairface has the right weapon to use: the Devolution Materializer, which can make perfect duplicates of The Tick. Well, not quite perfect. The problem with the Devolution Materializer is that it makes "devolved" duplicates.
