The Witching Hour #3

Synopsis

The spellbinding miniseries from Jeph Loeb (BATMAN: DARK VICTORY, SUPERMAN), Chris Bachalo (DEATH: THE HIGH COST OF LIVING) and Art Thibert (SUPERMAN/FANTASTIC FOUR) concludes. A stunning tale of bewitchment concludes, as the Witching Hour strikes for four lost souls who have entered into a game of chance with the enigmatic Ms. White. Behind the walls of Manhattan skyscrapers, a Vegas casino, and a broken home, they'll either be doomed or delivered. Meanwhile, Ms. White goes under hypnosis one last time, but what she reveals may be the last thing anyone wishes for.General NotesAlthough the appearance should be considered non-canon, (as The Witching Hour is owned by Jeph Loeb and Chris Bachalo, not DC Comics) Lenny Shapiro appears in one of the last scenes of the series. Lenny is of Peter Milligan's Shade the Changing Man fame and was co-created by Bachalo. As Shade was Bachalo's only major work for DC (he left the series after its fiftieth issue to pursue a career at Marvel) it seems fitting he pay homage to it in a brief return to the same imprint he helped define at its start. It should be noted that Lenny's appearance isn't just a likeness, she has the same appearance, name and directly references an alien from Meta (Shade) and that she has contracted an STD from a woman (Kathy George) who has slept with both the alien and a serial killer (Troy Grenzer).
