CHISPA: The Thirteen Origins is a series of one-shot origin stories for the members of The Thirteen, a group of Mexicans and Mexican Americans who discover they are chispas, able to wield impossible powers. Cinthia “Cindy” Orejuela takes to her chispa powers like a rabbit to a warren when she receives them at eighteen. She firmly believes that as long as no one’s been hurt yet, anyone can turn back and do the right thing—and she proves it by serving her community, preventing crime, and helping others.
