Thor #44
Synopsis
In this all silent issue, the mighty Thor is now Lord of Asgard, but it is a somber day indeed. The All-Father, Odin, sacrificed himself in battle against the fire god Surtur in order to save the realms from total destruction. This beautifully illustrated issue shows the toll Odin's death has taken on his subjects and enemies alike and how he affected their lives. But more importantly, the God of Thunder is shown to finally accept his role and takes up his father's crown.
