Synopsis

ULTIMATE ENEMY PART 1 Spider-Woman is swinging around New York City when a giant, amoeba-like monster comes crashing out of ROXXON Industries. The monster soon spreads throughout the entire city block.  At the Richards' house, young Reed Richards is asleep on his couch. The doorbell rings, as Reed's father goes to open the door. Reed wakes up when he notices that his computer has detected an energy flux. Reed tries to stop his father, but it's too late. The house is demolished by a pink-colored energy explosion.   Susan Storm now walks the streets of New York invisible, so she can't be detected and bothered by anyone. She goes to the Baxter Building, where she works all by herself. She is met by Benjamin Grimm, who is visiting. The Thing man's up and tells her he loves her. However, Susan is surprised by this and subtly rejects Ben's proposition. Sullen by this, Ben decides to leave. As he leaves, he drops a rock from his body for her much to Susan's shock. Susan doesn't notice a huge monster about to attack the building. It is too late, and the massive tentacled monster has already covered the entire building. The Thing tries to fight the monster, but the monster easily stops him, sending him blocks away.   Across the city, Nick Fury is enjoying his chicken. Right as he thinks about the fact that a man can and is allowed to enjoy chicken without being bothered, he is attacked by a purple figure with energy spewing out of him. The monster says that Nick Fury is to be blamed for everything.   The issue ends showing a building being bombarded with explosions, with cars flying away, and people falling from the building on fire...
