Synopsis

ULTIMATUM As Peter finds out that Dr. Bradley is somehow aware of Peter's situation between Osborn and him, a cloak figure reveals themselves to be Nick Fury, leader of S.H.I.E.L.D, also revealing that Bradley is a S.H.I.E.L.D agent. Nick Fury explains to Peter that they're spying on Osborn, and is aware of the conflict between Peter and Osborn. Fury tells Peter that Osborn wants him killed.  He also explains that the OZ experiment was originally being made by S.H.I.E.L.D, as a lot of companies, including Oscorp, wanted to get their attention, being a "Super Soldier Serum". Fury explains that Osborn had a successful presentation, but behind it was false, as Osborn's experiments were a complete failure. Fury then cut ties between S.H.I.E.L.D and Oscorp, after two years of nothing for them to show for. This resulted Osborn's anger towards Fury, and also leaving Oscorp in trouble with the public. To cover him and Oscorp, Osborn publicly announced that they "accidentally" discovered a new experiment, OZ, that was supposed to make "the world stand up and cheer". This resulted the incident with Peter, which made Osborn panicking, turning himself into the Goblin. After the destruction of his home and company, Osborn's anger grew more, which leads to the current situation.  Fury requests Peter not to kill him, while knowing that if he does so, Osborn will harm him. He also mentions that S.H.I.E.L.D is off limits to Osborn, and can only help towards the situation if Osborn causes conflict. Which forces Peter to handle things on his own, until Osborn attempts to attack.   Peter arrives home to discover another limo to take Peter to Osborn. As Peter panics, he tells Aunt May that he wont go, claiming Osborn is "shady". Afterwards, Peter swings over to confront Osborn about the offer. He tells Osborn that he's declining his offer, stating that if Osborn tries to do any harm to his family or friends, that he will kill Osborn himself. Upon declining Osborn's request, Osborn, in Green Goblin form, goes after Mary Jane.
