Synopsis

Fatal Attractions: Part 5 of 6 - Hologram card on cover - "Nightmares Persist!" Guest-starring the X-Men. Written by Larry Hama. Art by Adam Kubert, Mark Farmer, Dan Green, and Mark Pennington. Story continued from X-Men (1991-2008 1st Series) #25 - The storyline that changed the feral X-Man's life continues! Magneto, the Master of Magnetism, just sucked out all the Adamantium in Wolverine's body, leaving him a bloody, pulpy mess. First appearance of Wolverine's bone claws. Can even Wolverine's vaunted healing factor save him this time? Can Jean Grey's mutants powers keep his body in one piece long enough for it to try? Story concludes in Excalibur #(1988 1st Series) #71. 32 pages, FC NOTE: Adam Kubert jumps on board with issue joining Larry Hama on a run that will have some of the finest Wolverine stories to date. In a time of Clone Sagas, Heroes Reborn, and watered down tough guys with guns comics, the Kubert/Hama run on Wolverine Part of the Fatal Attractions event. First revealed that Wolverine's claws were part of his bone structure and not implants. Wraparound cover, with a hologram. Although the cover of this issue shows Wolverine getting the adamantium ripped out of his body, that event has already taken place when the book begins.
