Synopsis
On Paradise Island, Wonder Woman prepares to leave after speaking with her mother, Hippolyta. She flies back to America in an attempt to save Steve Trevor. Steve Trevor, masquerading as Steve Trevor Howard, was kidnapped as Wonder Woman departed for Paradise Island.The story jumps back to shortly after Stave's abduction. Steve is ferried to an underground complex. He is interrogated by a Major trying to determine Howard's relationship to Trevor. Diana has arrived back in New York City. She goes to meet with Morgan Tracy, Diana Prince's boss at United Nations Security and Public Relations.Meanwhile, the Major has found out that Trevor and Howard are the same man. The Major reveals he has bad intentions. Diana is able to snatch a file from Tracy that reveals Steve's location. She heads to Steve's location. However, the Major has used Steve's life force to reanimate the Dark Commander.Wonder Woman battles the Dark Commander. However, she is finally informed that she needs to break the link between Steve and the Commander. She severs the link and the Commander disappears. However, Steve's life force has been exhausted. He expires as Wonder Woman holds him.
