The real world counterpart of Nightcat was named Jacqueline Tavarez who released an album in 1991 titled 'Nightcat: #1 House Rule' but failed to place on music charts

Marvel quickly abandoned the concept to which Tavarez claimed was because of her involvement as a dancer in a music video produced by Joey Buttafuoco
