Synopsis

INFECTED PART 1 On the outskirts of Gotham City, two shadowy figures run away from armed helicopters. One of them shoots a projectile, which destroys a helicopter, and the other helicopter aborts as soon as the individuals reach the city.  Around a fire, some vagrants notice the two beings, but are ominously killed.   Later, Batman goes to interrupt a crack ring, but is beaten to it by someone else who also murdered the attendees with bullets made of bone. Batman hears that the assailants have been spotted and rushes to the scene, but so does Branden.   At a construction site, police have surrounded the area and are firing at a shack. As soon as Batman arrives, they shift their focus to him while he climbs the tower. Batman fights the killer, who appears to be more zombie than man, and is almost beaten when he uses a nerve agent on the creature. However, the target has fled, leaving dead policemen in his wake.   Elsewhere, the grotesque man babbles about war and the events leading up to the present.   In the Batcave, Batman examines the creature's tissue and discovers that the cells contain a disease, which was purposely administered by the military. Their goal was to infect men and create soldiers that could never run out of bullets as long as there were dead bodies around.   On the streets of Gotham, one of the infected soldiers seemingly commits suicide. Meanwhile, the other starts to grow sacs from its back.
