Synopsis

INFECTED PART 2 On the roof of the GCPD Headquarters, Captain Gordon tells Batman that the GCPD found one of the infected soldiers, although it was not the same one Batman fought. Just then, they are notified that the other one has been spotted at an old steelworks.  Batman goes there and fights the creature, but reaches a stalemate until Branden arrives and starts shooting at it. Batman knocks him out and chases the infected soldier. Alfred informs him that the artificial disease is named Variant 66, and causes hallucinations in the host, as wells as redeveloping in its victim if one of the pair of soldiers died.   Meanwhile, James Gordon convinces the mayor that the disease is real and persuades him to sound the alarm.   Elsewhere, some policemen find the soldier but are quickly killed. From the air, the police track the monster to the reservoir and set up snipers. However, Gordon orders them to hold their fire, as Batman has confronted the soldier. Batman shoots the creature with a handgun to disable its boneguns, then uses a taser, but to no effect. Thinking quickly, Batman knocks the soldier into the water and makes himself a promise.   Months or years later, an important-looking man, likely part of a government group, takes the elevator to his office. On his desk, he finds the decapitated head of one of the infected soldiers, along with a Batarang. At the base of the building, people from the Department of Justice are waiting to catch him.
