Synopsis

...AND BE A VILLAIN! The Creeper is unable to transform back into his Jack Ryder identity and is being driven insane by Dr. Yatz's serum. Taking advantage of this, Yatz's son Ishmael has the Creeper take a "cure serum", which would allow him to transform back to normal, but in fact is making Creeper lose his conscious mind while forcing him to steal for Yatz. Batman becomes involved with the case after Creeper violently attacks him while trying to steal chemicals.  Batman investigates the case and discovers Yatz's involvement on a large criminal scheme. Meanwhile, Yatz has decided that Creeper's usefulness has reached its limit and he makes Ryder drink poison that he claims is an antidote. With less than three hours left, Creeper turns against Yatz and Batman tries to stop them from killing each other. Their fight continues on a bridge under construction and both Creeper and Yatz fall to a certain death until Batman swings and pushes them to the pavement.   Once in the ground, Yatz is knocned unconscious allowing Batman to capture the rogue scientist and Creeper finally returns to his Jack Ryder persona. Since the deadline for the poison to take effect has already passed, Batman deduces that the poison and the serum Yatz had been dosing Creeper with had counteracted each other, giving Ryder the ability to return back to normal. THE KINGPIN IS DEAD! During the premiere of a new movie titled The Stepfather—based on the true story of the 1920's crime kingpin known as Floyd Marcus—premieres at a Gotham theater, Marcus (who is in attendance) is gunned down in cold blood upon his arrival. Recognizing the gunman as Marcus' step son Mike, Barbara Gordon changes into Batgirl to search his estate for proof linking him to the murder. Hiding out in Mike's garage, she over hears the crooks (who spotted her foot prints pulling in) saying that they are about to put an end to the Kingpin's family. After listening to their conversation, Batgirl comes to the conclusion that Mike Marcus is not the killer. THE CASE OF THE CARELESS CARETAKER THE CASE OF THE TERRIFIED TENDERFOOT!
