Synopsis

THE COLOSSUS OF GOTHAM CITY While pursuing criminal "Rockets" Rogan, Batman gets a whiff of an unknown space gas that transforms him into a giant. Batman and Robin work as an strange combination, and after they realize the difficulty of Batman's situation they are forced to contact Batwoman to help them capture the criminals. Unfortunately, when Bruce Wayne is forced to cancel a date with Kathy Kane, Batwoman becomes suspicious and thinks that Bruce Wayne is Batman. Surprisingly though, Kathy's suspicions are gone when somehow Bruce Wayne, normal sized, appears at a gala the next night. In the meantime, "Rockets" Rogan and his gang have surrounded the giant Batman in his hideout outside Gotham and they capture him with the ultimate intention of learning his secret identity. When they remove the cowl, they see a face of an unknown man and soon, Robin and Batwoman arrive to save Batman, who was wearing makeup under the cowl. Later, during a final encounter with "Rockets," Batman finally returns to his normal size. Moments later in the Batcave, it is revealed that the Bruce Wayne who appeared at the gala was none other than Superman in disguise. THE MAN WHO UNEARTHED DOOM! THE EX-CONVICTS CLUB Detective John Jones founds the Ex-Convicts Club, a society for reformed criminals, with the objective of finding jobs for them. Backing comes from the Civic League, but their representative, Mr. Dearing, warns that the League will pull their support if any evidence of new criminal activity is detected among the members. Soon after, it appears that the Human Squirrel and the Trickster, two members of the club, are committing robberies. The club is disbanded. But the two criminals were impersonated by members of Biff Benson's mob, since he needed their services for a job he intends to pull. When he contacts the Squirrel and Trickster, Benson reveals his presence to the Martian Manhunter, who suspected the plot. J'onn J'onzz helps bring in Benson and his gang, and the Ex-Convicts Club is reinstated.
